FAITH and JOY
Ascension's FAITH/JOY ministry was formed in 2015 and provides the opportunity for children in grades K-5 to learn and grow in their faith. Meetings take place once a month on a Friday evening, unless otherwise noted. Each meeting consists of a lesson, craft, snack and fellowship time. We also hold several special events and participate in various service projects throughout the year. Friendships formed in youth groups have a tendency to last a lifetime. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to meet new families and friends and participate in the life of the Church! *November 16, 6:30 - 8 p.m.: Lake County Food Drive
*December 7, 7 - 9 p.m.: Christmas Party/Mock Lock-In
January 13, 2019, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Dive for the Cross Event
*February 15, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
*March 8, 6:30 - 8 p.m.: Cheesefare Friday Pizza Party

*Please note that meetings will take place at the house directly south of the Church: 1221 Riverwoods Rd., Lake Forest, unless otherwise noted. Faith/JOY will meet on a Friday evening once a month unless otherwise noted. Parent volunteers are asked to donate and set up a snack at each of our gatherings. Due to the fact we meet on Fridays, we will always have a fast-worthy snack for our children. More details will be given when you sign up to help. Although your home fasting rules may be different, we encourage our children to begin learning about fast days, even from now. Fruits, veggies, crackers, and graham crackers are some good options.
