The Spirit of Ascension is a 192-page collection of 39 true, spiritually uplifting stories told from a uniquely Orthodox Christian perspective. The authors describe personal transformations, experiences touched by the hand of God, lessons from the old country and inspirational lives. There are also useful Orthodox prayers, amusing anecdotes and photographs to make the stories and people come to life. The book was compiled by the Philoptochos Society of the Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church, Lincolnshire, Illinois. All proceeds benefit Orthodox Christian charities.
