Jr. G.O.Y.A.

Our Jr. GOYA is for 6th-8th graders and meets every week on Monday evenings at the church from 6 - 7:20 p.m. The program encourages our youth at a pivotal age to develop their ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Holy Church through a unique and positive youth ministry experience.   Meetings consist of relevant discussions and learning opportunities, crafts, personal interaction, games, field trips and service projects.

This year's theme is:  Saints!  Their lives, teachings, and how to emulate them (especially during difficult times).

During the 2020-2021 school year, we will be relying on the Youth and Young Adult Ministries Department to provide us with weekly content for our youth groups. Each Monday, we will speak about the Saints, their example, and how we can learn from them. Also, a new Be the Bee video will be released from the Archdiocese every Monday, along with questions and talking points for our youth groups. Podcasts, other resources and small group sessions will supplement our Monday night gatherings.

During our meetings, Ascension will be very diligent in abiding by all health and safety measures required by the state, Metropolis, and our very own Safety Task Force!  Although we may temporarily need a mask to cover our face, that won't stop us from uncovering wonderful lessons together this year with an open mind and heart.

We look forward to a wonderful year!
