Why is Ascension switching from ParishSoft to Pushpay?
We’re upgrading to Pushpay to offer a faster, simpler, and more secure giving experience. Pushpay also gives us better communication tools and enhanced financial management capabilities to better serve our stewards and parishioners. Other Greek Orthodox sister parishes in our Metropolis have successfully transitioned to Pushpay to streamline operations and have reported positive results.

Is Pushpay secure?
Yes. Pushpay uses industry-leading security and encryption to protect your personal and financial information, ensuring your donations are processed safely.

How do I set up a new account in PushPay?
Ascension’s Parish Council encourages all parishioners to create a Pushpay account. It's quick and easy and can be done on your mobile device or personal computer. There are several simple ways you can set up an account:

  • If you received an activation email, click "activate my account" and follow the prompts
  • On your laptop, go to our Connect and Give page and click "request account" to receive an email to activate.  (An activation email will be sent within 24 hours).  Bookmark this page and use it to log into your account; explore our ministries and groups; and locate our registration forms for events and ministries.
  • Using your mobile device, visit our Mobile Giving Page directly, enter a dollar amount and choose a fund.  You will then be prompted to enter your phone number.  A security code will be sent by text to your phone.  Mobile sign-in streamlines your giving with just a few steps.  You can also create an email/password account through this option or give as a guest. 
  • Install our App on your mobile device and easily create an account by entering your phone number and following a few simple prompts.   

If I have a recurring gift set up in Ascension's former platform - ParishSoft, will it transfer automatically?
No, recurring gifts will not transfer automatically. You’ll need to recreate your recurring donation in Pushpay.  You do this by first creating a new account in Pushpay, then second, logging into your ParishSoft account and canceling your recurring gift there to avoid duplicate donations.  This is very important and should be done as soon as possible. Will there be new fees or changes in how I give in Pushpay?
There are no additional fees to use Pushpay. As before, standard credit card processing fees apply (these are charged by the credit card companies, not Ascension).

Can I still give in person or by check?
Yes! You may continue giving in person just as you always have. Pushpay simply adds more flexible and convenient options for those who donate digitally and supports our Parish's plan to expand online giving in the future.

Is there an option to give a one-time gift?
Click HERE to give a one-time gift without creating an account.  Ascension encourages you to create an account so we can stay connected with you.  Our parish life is enriched by the faithful who pass through our doors.

Does Pushpay have a Mobile App?
Yes! You can install Ascension's new App from the Apple App Store or Google Play using keyword "Ascension GOC.” Through the app, you can:

  • Donate quickly and securely
  • Listen to sermons
  • Watch live services
  • Register for events and ministries
  • Follow the parish calendar
  • Manage your stewardship
