Created in 2018, this ministry gives men the opportunity in a casual setting to study God's Word and explore, discuss and share perspectives on different Bible readings.

Encounter the Word Men's Bible Study Ministry just completed its study of 1 Timothy and will begin the exploration of 2 Timothy, beginning in May, and continue dissecting lessons from Paul's Pastoral Epistle in which he guides Timothy through pastoral challenges and questions.  Meetings take place from 6 - 7 a.m. in Ascension's Conference Room,  to accommodate participants who work.    See our winter/spring 2023 meeting dates below.  The Orthodox Study Bible, or Orthodox Study Bible app, is a good companion for this ministry.

In the Fall session of the 2022-23 Ecclesiastical Year, the Men's Bible Study Ministry explored a program called "Lionheart Sessions", a course designed by Faithtree Resources to engage men in the life of the Church.  Topics covered included: Men as Servant-Leaders; Men in Relationships; Overcoming the Obstacles that Stand in the Way of Authentic Manhood; The Pursuit of God in the Community.  For more information on the Lionheart curriculum, click HERE.  For more information on Faithtree Resources, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and vetting resources that help Orthodox Christian Churches and people thrive, click HERE.
