Serving in the altar is a great and Holy privilege. Acolytes are an integral part of the venerable Liturgical traditions of the Church, serving with the Priest's blessing and great reverence. All Orthodox young men and/or boys 10 years and older are invited to participate in the sacred privilege of serving in the altar.  Acolytes must have a teachable spirit, demonstrate respect for liturgical tradition and commit to serving consistently.   If your son is interested in participating in this formational year-round ministry, please contact Pastoral Assistant, John Anton at janton@ascensiongoc.com.
