SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL
We joyfully welcome children from Pre-K through 8th grade to grow in their faith and love for Christ. Our nurturing environment and age-appropriate curriculum guide students through the fundamentals of Orthodoxy, building year by year in a way that’s engaging and meaningful. With the help of devoted teachers and interactive learning tools, we aim to inspire every child to deepen their connection to Christ and the Church.
As our children embark on a new school year, Ascension is committed to offering a Sunday Church School program that establishes a firm foundation of faith and tradition and keeps Christ at the center of our children's hearts. We begin in Church at the start of Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. and dismiss after Holy Communion for the class lesson. Class ends at 11:20 a.m. All of our classrooms (upper and lower level) are equipped with technology and classroom furnishings that support a transformative, collaborative and innovative learning environment. We are looking forward to another exciting and inspirational year with our children.
Sunday Church School begins for the 2025/2026 year on Sunday, September 7, 2025. (Pre-K must be 4 years old by 9/1/2025). See the full 2025/26 calendar and register below.

END OF YEAR PROGRAM 2021-22
Our Sunday Church School celebrated the end of a blessed school year on May 22, 2022. Our children were acknowledged for perfect attendance and we extended our gratitude to all SCS teachers who have contributed their love and talent to this program. View photos HERE.

The faithful gathered after Liturgy on December 19, 2021 to witness and enjoy Ascension's Christmas Pageant -- a long time tradition at our parish!
